Sounds nice, but that's just trust based on past experience. Faith is a quantum act from outside this physical realm, where there is no floor in sight & where God says step out & because you KNOW that He IS God, without question you do it. It's where you know that God is God & that if He says it He will never let you down. Faith is based on knowledge of the Word of God, it's KNOWING that the Word of God is the only true reality & this physical world, everything we hear see touch taste & smell is all just a temporary overlay, it's a belief beyond this world into the World where God is.
Close your eyes & just imagine what it would be like if you could not hear, see, touch, taste or smell. Now that you have no distractions you can actually listen to God on the inside of you & you realise what you are experiencing is now limitless. This is the Spirit realm where you can hear, see touch taste & smell better than the physical realm, and that you are more free now than when you relied on your 5 senses for information. It's actually a challenge to separate ourselves from all distractions coming from our senses to seek God & activate our faith but when you do you will realise He's been there the whole time just waiting for you to wake up, waiting for you to accept His precious gift of life in Christ.
If you want this just say the following out loud, "Father God, I believe that you sent Jesus Christ, your son & to defeated sin & death on the cross in my place. I believe Jesus rose from the grave so that I could finally be in right relationship with you. Holy Spirit of God I believe as I pray this prayer out loud that you will wash me & make me whole, that you will come to live inside me. Regardless of what the enemy says I believe I am your child now & you are my Father God. I am no longer a sinner my old life has been washed away. I am now a divine being the old me has been crucified in Jesus on that cross. The old sinful me has died & from today I live a completely new life by the Word of God.
Straight away now, to learn more about how to live in Christ you need to look up 'Prophet Uebert Angel' or 'Pastor Chris' Oyakhilome. Don't let yourself be fooled not all pastors will teach you the truth!

I feel that God must hate me I grew up my father left me when I was 9 or 10 years old my mother left me she died when I was about 14 I didn't have a mother or father after that I was left alone and I had many times when I was hungry many times when I was homeless I thought I was supposed to have abundance in this world God never gave me my abundance I've struggled ever since God has never been there for me
Faith will never change falsehood into truth. The concepts of Gods in most religions are not actually truth. Faith should never be in opposition to truth and fairness.

If anything i’ve learned in my life’s journey, is to not assume things. And letting myself go by this old man’s definition/explanation. Faith is just but assumptions.

The faith Jesus was talking about, was in believing that what he said was true, and by applying it to yourself because you know it to be true.
Faith to me, is the firmness of our foundation in the belief in the Son and Father.
My Faith is strong, because over the years, I never really questioned Gods truth, I also didnt just accept it, I did test it, as the bible tells us to.
I over the years grew my faith, and now, I can say, that for most of my life, if not all, I knew Jesus and God were the truth.
Your challenge will differ, because for you it may prove harder, to prove to yourself that he is real.

Let me bring the following concept into your mind, what if humanity has been interpreting the concept of God incorrectly? Take the perspective of a blood cell or bacteria, from their point of view whatever they are experiencing that is their reality, unaware that they live within a bigger(different scale/dimension) living being, which we can observe thru a microscope without them realizing they are being studied. If we humans still don't know what the universe & gravity is(many people believe we do,but we do not) and all we can tell ourselves is that the universe is infinite, would it be ok/safe to assume that the universe is fractal? Then in theory everything in a way or form repeats its pattern(life structure) format. Once you open your mind to this possibility, it's when you would ask "are we being observed without us realizing it?". To me, once I came into this concept, I realized and would like to share the following: Our existence, everything we take to be reality is all/everything within God, we are part of God as much as God is part of us. Would it make sense that what we know/see about the universe is a skewed perception because we can't fathom how truly small of an organism we are? I will say this again, I believe that we are living within God. Recently it has been theoretically said that Space is a super liquid, and if this is true, then what we think of stars(suns) might just be a version of white blood cells, living within a gigantic being, which we call God.
On a side note, please remember the following: Humanity needs to have faith in humanity in order to save ourselves from ourselves!
