  1. Selfishness is not selfishness unless it costs SOME ONE ELSE something they did not want to loose.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said, to cover for it.
When you do what's right and receive criticism, so what , you were right, not them.
When you work hard to reach a goal and make it, there is more, you also have learned something.
You do not have to ridicule a MAN over a mistake, he will do it to himself.
Putting others before yourself is rewarding, NO DILLARS INVOLVED.
These a just a few of the things, stated differently, Mr. McConaughey talked about, all having to do with becoming a man or woman, instead of being an adult sized child. 😉

  2. After watching this video I can imagine sitting around the patio, with the steaks cooking on the grill, the beer flowing, the kids playing in the grass below the deck, all the while listening to Matt's philosophical musings and thinking, perhaps even saying out loud….."dude, you gotta lighten up. Life ain't THAT serious!"

  3. Me too Alright Alright Alright been there, done that Matthew. Time to start living again..I pretty grateful for everything & every day.. living in the present. It's gift

  4. He makes some wonderful points, but it really depends on your definition of success. Money and happiness do not always mean the same thing.

  5. Look there is no fair in life, there exist variables. Choosing to connect those variables lead to circumstances. Reacting or ignoring those instances lead to very different outcomes. Good and bad pops into our choices and our circumstances. we who are fortunate to be aware are somewhat advantaged regarding survival. no so much fortune or fame. schools teach? that time has passed. schools indoctrinate. Matthew is such a product after digging into his politics, what a joke.

  6. I grew up in the 1960's so most of what he is say is nothing new. What he is saying was well known hippie talk, profit talk, and sometimes psychedelic mind expansion talk. The nice thing about McConaughey saying it in the 21st Century, is he is giving the Light Of Life's Joy and Happiness a rebirth, spoken well, and with a sincerity that today's generation, to a certain degree can relate too. This philosophy, this spiritual awakening must be born and born again, like one person's love for another. So many these words are just mere fantasy dream land. But for other, it's an ever grown land of perhaps even fantasies come true, a little bit at a time. Don't stop dreaming and believing ever.

  7. Most people underestimate a lot of famous actors and actresses. They are very intelligent people. It's takes hard work and dedication just to study a script and memorize lines perfectly and to act those pages out in perfect harmony with their colleagues. Just that alone aside from their own interests, hobbies and other things in professional and personal life.
Mr. McConaughey is very wise and motivating, through his own knowledge and experience. Even him earning being able to speak publically like this YouTube clip, I personally respect that so much. He, like others, that's are successful, are because they deserve it, they earned it. I'm thankful for this inspiration. I'm going to go do something productive with this.

  8. True hero's are the unsung heroes that don't use your ability on Facebook or any other social media outlets . my good deeds only require a smile from the unfortunate.
