This is one of the most powerful videos I’ve edited on Absolute Motivation. It is such an incredibly motivational yet inspirational video but at the same time, the speech Jim Carrey goes into leaves you thinking deeply.

  1. Hey guys,

I just want to say that it's okay if you don't agree with what he is saying. Part of being an editor is about creating emotion for the viewer and so much of the other motivational channels is just around motivation and nothing deeper, this isn't a bad thing. I want to create videos that challenge your ideas, that make you question your paradigm and that will lead to more growth in your life.

Motivation is essential in life but motivation on its own kind of becomes like a drug or like going on a porn site to get an emotion rush and then going on about your day. This is the reason I try my best to focus on putting a mixture of philosophical content within the motivational stuff. It is all about balance.

I myself don't agree with everything Jim Carrey says or even does. And that's okay, we don't need to idolise him to see that some of the stuff he says has objective value. Try to keep an open mind. There is so much in this world that we don't know and that not even science can answer or religion so, instead of thinking we know everything lets become curious sponges and listen to all perspectives.

Thank you so much for the support of my work over the years, whatever value it has given to you and your lives have been instrumental vicariously to me.

I have chosen to find meaning in this and other creative ventures in my life.

  2. I feel really comfortable with watching him and not many people I could say that about that's a good thing if I say I feel comfortable with you I've been through some stuff it's hard for me to trust anyone God bless Jim Carrey for believing in God that's a compliment when I say that about someone trust me

  3. Isn't that something else I believe he's wondering what the real world's like a celebrity he seems to be curious about the real world out here instead of stuck in Hollywood all the time I like Jim Carrey's speeches wow a movie star that's down to earth and just believes in God and wonders what the real world is not so much caught up in that started

  4. "I played Jim Carrey"

I don't think people understood what he meant by that. The guy you see on late night talk shows, award shows, Entertainment Tonight, etc. is not Jim Carrey. He was pretending to be someone he's not.

  5. Everyone’s life is about finding their own path and their own truth. Each existence experiences and perceives the world we live in differently. There’s no one way to do life. There’s no path that is the formula. We all must find our own. It makes me happy to see people find and accept theirs. I wish that for everyone.

  6. The thing about I don't wanna be me is most people will go on with depression because they don't wanna go through the process of who am I all over again only a few have the will like Mr Carrey over here and when people notice the change they don't understand it and just make fun or call you weird crazy just because they are not at that level…

  7. Never liked Jim Carrey 's style of comedy. The comedy that is used in the sort of films he used to be in was not to my taste and I didn't find amusing. Comedy can be a very useful way of getting a message across. ("There's many a true word spoken in jest." W.S.) so unfortunately I missed any truisms that may have been behind the humour. This small piece though, I found to be full of things that chimed almost exactly with how I see the world. I was unaware of this side to Jim Carrey. Well, you learn something new every day. If you don't, then you have stopped living properly and should perhaps take some time to re-evaluate what you believe really matters. I'm 57 in a week or 2 and I hope I keep learning. Shwmai, from Ja (yng gymru) that means, In Wales.

  8. There comes a CRAZY moment when you step back from everything and realize the world is just particles. My bed? Particles. My books? Particles. Me? PARTICLES. But it is INCREDIBLE that you can use your existence and your gifts and your love to make others’ existences more bearable. Everything is everything, and reality is whatever you choose to see. So, look at the real thing.

  9. Just watching him smile brings me so much joy. It’s contagious. His energy is like a warm big hug. He’s so genuine. He’s so kind. You can see it in his eyes. People like this don’t survive Hollywood. They go “crazy” or overdose. The people with glaring empathy, they can’t bare the secrets. I know I couldn’t.

  10. I think what he talks about is himself, how he was before. Then he took something, some kind of psychadelic that changed
his whole perspective. And he came up with new conclusions, how little things, and that the stillness of the universe itself is extremely beautiful. And that he can be happy with being that kind of person…. I don´t know what he´s depression was rooted in, maybe it was his inner appreciation chart. Which ultimately mad him sad? Then he discovered psychadelics, which change ALOT of those perceptions, often over night or a couple of days. Even smoking weed opens you up more and gives you a more open mind about the world, things dont have to be squared up and neet and whatever. You are you and that is ok. You are not the shirt you walk around in, the car you drive etc. which he talks about. And that is not what life and society is about.

  11. Best thing that ever happened to me was coming within 1 second (literally) of being shot by the cops in the middle of the street when I was high on clonazepam and vodka. I lost everything. EVERYTHING – career, family, friends, and me. I used to work at ESA in The Netherlands and five years later I was back home, where I committed my crime, and ended up living in a homeless shelter for 6 months. (Longest 2 years of my life). The odd thing is, the homeless shelter used to be my city's old hospital where I was born. I was born there once in 1965, and born there again in 2018. I didn't want my old life back, I wanted a new life, and I got it. Born once of the flesh and born again in the soul/spirit. Losing everything gave me a bottomless resource of wealth, not money, that I know I will always be able to tap into. I think I DID die that night when I was almost shot, and my new life started in that very same moment.
