  1. I needed to confirm that from someone who's really involved in communication. thank you it's a very sound advice. I'll start tonight.. right now I'm fighting the urge to check my Facebook account lol I won't do it…I won't 😉

  2. One thing that really helped me to switch it off earlier in the day and leave it off in the mornings is… Buy an alarm clock! Not use the alarm function on my phone. If not the last thing I do at night is check my alarm is set and, oh, there's a notification or message.. Same in the morning, the alarm goes off and when I picked up my phone to turn it off, the first thing I saw was little red circles with numbers in going "read me!".

  3. I really do need to get offline more often. 🙁 I honestly don't enjoy being glued to the computer at all, as I would much rather be spending time outdoors or with my loved ones. However, I find it to be quite hard to disconnect completely, because I am trying to grow my online presence and do enjoy speaking with my boyfriend, who is currently living overseas. It's a difficult situation, but watching this has made me realize just how much screen-time is consuming my days. I need to take steps towards unplugging more often, therefore I shall start tonight. 🙂

Love your videos, Brendon, and your books!
Thanks for all that you do!

  4. brendon i think im changed so much from the day i started to watch your videos. i will give a example. Just now im working on laptop and i suddenly got bored and opened youtube then i click on short film but then i thought "is it worth my time then i closed it and opened this. Please do more videos all completed here. so i started repeating.

  5. thanks Brendon. I was starting to think that I was crazy or something, the pressure to answer texts, pokes, tweets and join followings etc. is really addictive and anxiety inducing. in a world of selfies, virtual tech, emails and mass recordings and viral videos, I can get very overwhelmed by it all but can't seem to break away from it. I've considered in the past unplugging but gave up on the idea because a friend once challenged me by telling me that there's a bazillion people who are all doing the Internet thing 24-7 and I am just the one person who doesn't wanna be like them. like, who the hell do you think you are to go against the grain of a billion people who are doing it? it's really refreshing to see that I am not alone in my desire to break away once in a while to get some peace and do things on my own terms and enjoy quality time with people I care about face to face. you've really opened my eyes to some things that I have let take over my life, I realize now that technology is a tool that was intended to work for me the "user" and not the other way around.

  6. you just read my mind,Brendon! i used to go to coffee shoos and read books. however i stopped and i recently discovered, that im missing it so much in my life. and i ordered one of your books as you such a bunch of energy a positivity 🙂 thank you for all your work! you make a difference in my life!

  8. Great, why did I didn't think about this? This will change my life! I'll do it for a month (digital diet first hour and last hour of the day and reading a book in a coffee shop) and see the changes!

  9. I am so grateful to have found this video I think that intentional living is not something I have done in quite a while. I am often there but not there which is really sad thank you so much and I am going to put all of your recommendations into play today

  10. This will be my fasten. Today I am starting this. I need it so much. I have already put on two post it notes that sais "without phone in the bathroom" and "without phone in the bed". You can laugh…but I just need this. It is soooo hard for me. I have tried before, failed, and now I will start again the fight with my demon 😀 Thank you, Brendon! <3

  11. Hey guys,. Hope you're doing great. 😀 I have a question: Should I go an hour without computer use in the first hour since I get out of bed or since I wake up?

  12. I like your style on how you say things and stuff, and you really helped me, but it took over two minutes to actually get to the point of how to unplug– a bit to much pep talk and overexplaining.
