  1. Maaan, why do you ask people to memorize something they can understand: some technologies get half the price each year, thus in ten years they become thousand times more available. In twenty years – thousand of thousand times, etc.
And I wish some day I can afford to play that game with a child.

  2. There is one human sense that is tuned into exponential change, that aspect of somatosensory perception that makes us aware of acceleration, changes in g-force. It is the difference between the feeling of walking down hill and jumping off a cliff.

  3. Thank you for this info.  🙂  I do think that the word "rational" is a better choice than "intuitive" for linear thinking conclusions, as they are foreseeable; exponential conclusions are calculable, and therefore rational too – they just have much larger math; their conclusions can be intuited (by some) more quickly than being calculated.  Intuition is a powerful mechanism beyond intellect and reason.

  4. Thank you for the great explanation! With the exponential growth of technology and AI and the automation of most jobs, and if we also are to take care of the Earth, we need to transition from the monetary system into a resource-based economy like the one proposed by The Venus Project, in order to really find global solutions.
If you are not capable of understanding why this is a better approach I recommend you to see another Peter Diamandis video, called "Cognitive Biases Shape our world".
Institutions like Singularity University, despite the incredible work they are doing, are normally created within the framework of today's culture and values, and inevitably will refuse to change too much and tend to last without changing too much, though change is inevitable.
We need to use the Scientific Method in our social issues and way of thinking to find objective solutions. The majority of us tend to live in a dualistic-subjective reality and value system and if we are to live in a more objective reality, or more scientific-minded, we would realize that countries, money, nationalities, are just invented stories, as Yuval Noah Harari explains in his book "Sapiens", and what we have to pay attention is to the Earth's carrying capacity, the environment from which we depend and what conditions will enhance the life of everyone on Earth. http://www.thevenusproject.com
