thoughts are not bothersome without uncomfortable feelings. it's the feelings that need addressing.
so what is the part of you that is aware of the thought? your soul? i thought your soul is your mind and also emotions etc (your psyche). is it your spirit then?

Thou she smiled at the end,her eyes speak a different thing that is she is not satisfied with the answer, I think we need to try answering our own questions some times, it's general curiosity to know what the other person thinks, but when we try it our self we definitely get answer soon or later. Each one of us have that capability. We don't need turn to some one to answer our typical questions.We just need to wait patiently, right answer teaches you at a right time.
Non judgemental awareness is the key!! Be awareness to your thoughts not judgmental!!

Gosh I stumbled by Eckhart while browsing. What an amazing human being ?? Can someone suggest some good reading material by Eckhart that I can gift someone special please.
A long time ago I decided to refuse to answer why questions because they are impossible to answer on any rational level. Often why questions are posed in a negative manner, as in "why don't you color your hair blonde?" or "why don't you eat meat?" or "why don't you buy a Volvo". Sometimes it appears that a why question is meant to create discord. To answer you would have to stop and think about all the reasons why you don't do something. Just say "Why do you ask?" as you quickly back away and say "gotta go–bye!".
Why Isn't it possible to drag the ego into enlightenment, too? … gotta go-bye!
