After everything that happened to me in the past 2 years, I wanted to touch on an important subject. Social media isn’t evil by itself, but it’s fake and we need to open our eyes and realize that. The lives people share on social media, don’t reflect the reality they live in. After the privacy crisis in the past year, Mark Zuckerberg had to speak in front of congress.

Social media effects on your mental health are scary and we need to do something about it.

  1. Facebook and Instagram is poisonous to your mind and body .I've been doing alot of research and experiments on the dangers of Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites.
    They are extremely dangerous.
A complete waste of time, thought and effort.

  2. Death to FACEBOOK,INSTAGRAM and any other . media platform involving human interaction and associated in anyway with Mark Zuckerberg.
He is an enemy to humans and human behaviour

  3. I can not spell his Jewish name but he needs to get a life the ugly wanker he is staying the most expensive hotel in America the selfish cunt employs trophy hunters we can not speak to fb all they want to do is block us just telling the truth

  4. They need to sort out scammers and hackers even on instagram I am not happy at all with my self even on these social media how about we stop going on social media

  5. I'd love it if they shut down the Internet. We could go back to socialising the good old fashioned way. Children would avoid tech zombification…. Everyone's a winner. Additional. Just think how many marriages or relationships have been damaged and destroyed by Facebook, Whatsap, Strava, Messenger etc etc. I bet many poor souls that read this, know the pain these sites have caused.

  6. Self-knowledge is a term used in psychology to describe the information that an individual draws upon when finding an answer to the question "What am I like?".

While seeking to develop the answer to this question, self-knowledge requires ongoing self-awareness and self-consciousness (which is not to be confused with consciousness). Young infants and chimpanzees display some of the traits of self-awareness[1] and agency/contingency,[2] yet they are not considered as also having self-consciousness. At some greater level of cognition, however, a self-conscious component emerges in addition to an increased self-awareness component, and then it becomes possible to ask "What am I like?", and to answer with self-knowledge, though self-knowledge has limits, as introspection has been said to be limited and complex.[citation needed]

Self-knowledge is a component of the self or, more accurately, the self-concept. It is the knowledge of oneself and one's properties and the desire to seek such knowledge that guide the development of the self-concept, even if that concept is flawed. Self-knowledge informs us of our mental representations of ourselves, which contain attributes that we uniquely pair with ourselves, and theories on whether these attributes are stable or dynamic, to the best that we can evaluate ourselves.

The self-concept is thought to have three primary aspects:

    The cognitive self[3]
    The affective self[4]
    The executive self[5]
The affective and executive selves are also known as the felt and active selves respectively, as they refer to the emotional and behavioral components of the self-concept. Self-knowledge is linked to the cognitive self in that its motives guide our search to gain greater clarity and assurance that our own self-concept is an accurate representation of our true self;[citation needed] for this reason the cognitive self is also referred to as the known self. The cognitive self is made up of everything we know (or think we know) about ourselves. This implies physiological properties such as hair color, race, and height etc.; and psychological properties like beliefs, values, and dislikes to name but a few.6

  7. I quit social media, it’s really bad for mental health. People you follow only show you what they want you to see, the picture perfect photos are so heavily filtered and photoshopped. Worse, these people claimed their photos are not touched up. Total hypocrisy and sending out wrong messages to youths. They often times have to resort to buying fake followers just to make themselves seem popular. Some even posted half nude photos of themselves and part of them are married with kids. Where is the self respect? They thrive on the numbers of likes and positive comments. They constantly seek validation and need their egos boosted. Talented people don’t need to constantly show off on SM.

  8. Great video. It is horrible how much damage social media has done to music and arts, and the people who honestly pursue artistic careers. In itself it is a case study of a social group (artists) having their entire livelihood ruined by people who manipulate media to get attention they don't deserve, at the mental health expense of real artists. We will see the impact of this in the very near future… ready for your music to suck even worse than today? Ready for shit art to get promoted everywhere by people who maybe did not even make that piece of art? Ready for everything to lose meaning and value? That's where we are heading, and mental health of millions will be going straight to the crapshoot.

  9. We know that life is all painful, problematic, difficult, so we are in flight mode to escape our life to feel comfortable, having pleasures effortlessly and killing our life without killing our physical body.

  10. More Stronger after using SOCIAL MEDIA… COZ it has got nothing do with you…If you can TRAIN YOU MIND , YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING… Nothing can bother you, if you know how to use it ✌? YOU CONTROL YOU ?

  11. Oh my God, I really wish I could go back in time and live in the ancient centuries. We do not want a civilization like what we see now of horror and dirty things that happen in our world such as murder, sex, wow etc.

  12. What’s so strange to me is how no one seems to care about their privacy anymore, they display their lives openly on social media apps, even their young kids. I think it’s very unfair to the kids as they have zero say in it, if they want their lives posted on the internet for all to see or not. No one seems to care about their privacy. We talk and argue with complete strangers on social media apps not even knowing who is really behind the screen on the other side. We waste so much time arguing with people we will never meet in real life, yet we neglect talking to our own families, kids, and neighbors outside around us in the real world. It’s creepy. Why don’t more people care about this? Is it the addiction of social media that has basically rewired everyone’s brain??! It’s extremely disturbing ?

  13. Ethnic ppl , poor ppl and whites who want to be accepted by or seen as wealthy are most active on it . Mothers use it as a dating app , sexting app , to pimp their abandoned & overused children and unattractive swingers & peddies fancy it most . Once you jump into a box or two you're consumed by it until almost retarded in person . Its s great format for true racists to get high on below average & mediocre ethnics seeking validation , lovers and their acceptance . It is basically like 1940 bring glamorized & forced …pretty gross …lonely lost souls trying to act out in public what they couldn't SNF can't in private / person / reality …

  14. I never participated in any of this crap. My wife has gotten so addicted that we never do anything together like we used to. I have to drag her kicking and screaming from the computer and phone to watch THe walking dead.

  15. Have any of you beloved American Patriots World Wide out there ever seen how Mark Zuckerberg lives ?! Is he and his family on Facebook all day? Do they watch TV night after work? Do they ignore one another and stay indoors most of their lives , never experiencing the beautiful world we live in ? Do they miss out every single day on the opportunity to make memories with the ones that matter the most ? Hell no ! Mark doesn't even own a TV ! His family doesn't even own cell phones ! They have a family computer and a landline ! Marks family lives a very exciting and real life in the real world! And he is extremely smart because he has tricked all of his consumers into paying for his American dream to be the absolute best possible! Stop buying his product and take a tip from the intelligence of how he works solely for the ability to spend as much quality one on one tech free time with his wife and their amazing children! Wake up Patriots! Put the phone down and step into LIFE and Love with the best partners you could ever ask for …. Your own family. We believe in all of you and know that this tremendous responsibility to pass down a God grounded and family focused morale to our kids and grandkids is safe in your hands . God Bless and Much Love

  16. To talk to people who are air-heads or shit-heads is to rot your own brain. To morph into their mindset. Absorb their influence. Drain your own SELF-Esteem, Self-Image, Self-Confidence, Self-Direction, etc.

  17. Mr. Zuckerburg would you mind if we posted on social media every episode you were in Star Trek Next Generation, playing the role of "Data", which was a precursor to your eventual role in the world as "Data"?
