Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher and author, born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of 29 a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. He devoted the next several years to understanding, integrating, and deepening that transformation. With his international bestsellers, The Power of Now and A New Earth—translated into over 52 languages—he has introduced millions to the joy and freedom of living life in the present moment. The New York Times has described him as “the most popular spiritual author in the United States”, and Watkins Review has named him “the most spiritually influential person in the world.”

Eckhart’s profound, yet simple teachings have helped countless people around the globe experience a state of vibrantly alive inner peace in their daily lives. His teachings focus on awakening consciousness, which transcends ego and discursive thinking, and can be seen as the next step in human evolution. In the awakened state of presence, we discover what Eckhart describes as our essential identity—who we are beneath the surface—and its power for transforming our selves and our world.

  1. I made the mistake of telling my mother about Eckhart Tolle and she thinks I'm just listening to crazy bs and she tells me I'm not Christian. Makes me sad.

  2. People aggressive on the internet i think has a lot to do with the unlearning and learning process eckart, it's not only ego but the soul learning through confrontation. As well as resolving the cognitive dissonance within themselves. ♥ good work eckart. you help me always.

  3. Being present is so beautiful. I had such a beautiful present 15 mins today watching a wasp right next to me watching its wings and its beautiful face what a moment. Thanks for sharing Eckhart. Divine Truth YouTube channel shares how being present and feeling all our emotions opens us up to receive Gods love. Love to you all and presence to you all.

  4. True awakening came after reading the power of now. I thank the universe for using me as a channel…eventhough I have no idea where to put all the power coming through me at times.

  5. Usually i would go about my daily routine, panicking, worrying, focusing on futures that will likely never happen, for the last couple of days i have been listening to this wonderfully wise soul and my life has already started to reflect my new way of thinking. It’s truly amazing! What goes in, is seeming to come back out into my physical reality! I am so glad i am realising i am not my thoughts or beliefs.

  6. Amen, well said, I agree completely & forgive, don’t forget, acknowledge, learn, understand and don’t repeat. When one understands all of what you’re stating and is capable of living it, as you do, and explain, then they will have and experience a profound level of consciousness within their own lives and more than they realize! They’ll get rid of their egos and will live a happier life! I think it’s all relative to one another’s concepts, consciousness and conscious. It’s all correlated within one another and yes, I use the phrase having vengeance on another who doesn’t deserve pain in any way and judging others for their flaws. It’s different for those that are intentionally hurting others and one can still empathize for these type of sad, disrupted souls. It doesn’t mean that they are accepting the poor and horrific behaviors and only meaning they are empathetic towards their disruptive souls and wish it to stop and leave them and everyone else alone!

  7. I think the question was more about moral relativism and absolute morality ie what is right/wrong as egoic perception versus awakened/enlightened perception. Its not a philosophical question. The answer is Natural Law. It is wrong to cause harm or take property, free will or life from another sentient being.

  8. Love him, no rush or manic in him what so ever, no worry about time, just present, I was doing great but been unconscious the last few days, but im glad to be aware of it, love peace and presence from the UK ??

  9. Eckhart explains in such a simple but clear way how ego causes disharmony. I know how egotistical I was when younger how much pain I dished out to people who loved me. I truly hope I can atone for my mistakes. Being judgemental and hypocritical – I wish to make up for that time. Thankyou Eckhart for helping me realise that I can change.?❤

  10. Jiminy cricket conscience not so good . As duality- opposing yes and no isn't really helpful. The way I see it is one develops one's own conscience after working on one self from self reflection and self-observation. Gurdjieff talked about developing conscience.. Anthony demello talked about destroying conscience as in A.S Neil summerhill where he said the first thing he did with kids when they came to his school was to destroy their conscience. The only conscience they had was some superimposed garbage from somebody else. So in that sense conscience is destructive and that needs to be destroyed.. People are always telling you about having a conscious when you're going to Sunday school and church, lay a lot of guilt trips on you and call that your conscience, not good.

  11. I do not know how to have empathy for mean people so I guess Im in ego when around them. Yes I judge. Perhaps I have not stopped believing the conditioned mind at all. Feeling helpless
