I would like to see the same plant experiment done with a few different animals. One with say a ferret that sleeps about 20 hours a day. One with any equatorial animal that lives in a 50/50 diurnal area. Last an animal that naturally gets very few hours of sleep and see how the light movement or periods of bright / dim light.

With the experiment light to random spots in the room, the plant being centered. regardless of randomness. a the smaller the boarder the closer to center the the light average will shine more, boarder of randomness is larger it will have less effect but still a small one.
