Grand rising everyone! Truly glad to come back to studying under ET, and walk into this podcast! I have evolved into a homeschool mom AND decided to go back to school (when I hate the curriculum that is presented),so that I can get the data to formulate a curriculum for other homeschool parents.
The mindset needs to go from "getting the degree to get a good job", to "get that degree to problem solve and evolve"!

I don't think that the problem is reading. I interact with all types of individuals from all walks of life and they all read. The issue is the lack of positive experiences and exposure. I have been reading since I was 3, so did all my children. However, it wasn't until I experienced life, that I was able to build up my "inner voice".
This is the focus of The Heights Movement resurrecting the eldest Black-run municipality north of the Mason-Dixon line, Lincoln Heights, OH. Our kids need to learn critical and technical skills that make them six figures and give them access to economic and social mobility.

Tech skills are life skills well said! Making sure students can create meaningful content using technology is super important in my book.
As a millennial I have to defend video games ? There are some really interesting games based on storyline decision making that get pretty emotionally complex. The ones I've seen are definitely mature, but there's no reason more pg versions shouldn't be available.

I wasn't financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly basis via my investments.
