Descriptions:

We’re just leaving Bali. It was a quick trip, but greatly needed and appreciated. Wish we could have done more but we got a lot in. Complement this vlog with my latest podcast episode: https://apple.co/2GQmMVf

Here’s the meditation practice I talked about:

This is not a sponsored video. I just wanted to show you where we were.

When we stayed at Four Seasons Sayan, they were so nice to us and gave a great itinerary for what to do around Ubud. Here is my Ubud Bali trip itinerary, courtesy of the general manager at the Four Seasons Sayan:

Kintamani Lake – see Mt Batur – Volcano
Holy Spring Water Temple or “Trita Umpul”
Gunung Kawi Temple
Terrace Rice Fields
Ubud for lunch and walking tour

LUNCH IN UBUD:
* Melting Wok – food from Laos. Big bowls of noodles, curries. Few dishes written on a chalk board and few specials. Very home style, cash only restaurant. The chef is the owner as well.
* Alchemy – Vegan restaurant – great salads, fresh juices, smoothie bowls etc.
* Hujan Locale – Modern Indonesian cuisine (also very good for dinner)
* Indus – Indonesian Food. They have a beautiful terrace, that overlooks the valley. Very nice. They also have western food, but known for their Indonesian. Best for lunch.
* Cantina – Taco bar, small restaurant, owned by the same Chef of Pica Restaurant (see below). Casual, but great tacos.
* Kafe – Small chilled out cafe. Service casual cafe food, good salads, sandwiches etc

DINNER IN UBUD:
1. Pica – a fave: South American food.
2. Mozaic – great French Indonesian cuisine, sit outside under the trees in the garden area. It’s quite an experience. Ideal for a quiet night.
3. Kebun Bistro – French and Italian food. Nice atmosphere. Nice buzz to it.
4. Naughty Nuri’s – Known for it’s BBQ pork ribs. It’s an institution. Cash only, no reservations are taken. First come first serve. Anthony Bordain loves eating here. Best known ribs on the island. Started off by a guy from Texas. Now run by his wife as he passed away. Strong martinis and margaritas.

UBUD SHOPS:

Biasa – Womens tropical wear – cotton, linen etc
Asters – Mens and Womens tropical wear – cotton, linen etc

  1. The first part of the video really relaxed me. Bali is on my list, maybe it needs to move up. Thanks for sharing your itinerary too. Enjoy time with your family and have fun and relax at your next location.

  2. I'm happy you finally made it and took the time to go Brendon. So wonderful.
I'm living in Bali since 3 years now and it's the most magical and beautiful place I've ever been to. Each morning I wake up in a state of gratitude still for everything around me. The rituals are indeed raising the vibration so much and transformation happens very rapidly and intensely here. I'm sure you felt it/ feel it. I wish I would have ran into you guys, as you're one of my favorite people and I hold the vision of somehow meeting and working on something together with you. 🙂 Enjoy Thailand and the rest of your trip. Much love.

  3. How beautiful. I would love to go but I can't travel. I am allergic to so many foods that I couldn't eat anywhere and am allergic to insects and bugs, so it just wouldn't work for me. I think I need a virtual reality machine so I can at least imagine/experience these places. Thank you for doing this, despite it made me sad that I'll never be able to travel there, it also brought me joy to both see you two enjoying it and also to see how beautiful it is for myself. Namaste x <3

  4. Thank you Brendon for this trip. I never watch other people's trips/holidays, but your nice commentaries , made me watch this. It is true that Indonesian has the highest number of muslims in the world. But if i m not mistaken, Bali has a high number of Buddhists(!?). Anyway, it was awesome that you guys get to visit Bali after 15 years of waiting for the right circumstances. Mrs Burchard, i wish you more and more happiness.

  5. Thank you, thank you and a million thank you's…….. Just what I needs to see, when I needed to see this! I am booking a very much needed holiday. Bali maybe, or anywhere the vibes moves me. Give thanks. Namaste.

  8. Great video and I took loved Bali – amazing place and loved Kupu Kupu Barong Resort , Amandari and Aman Villas at Nusa Dua – and loved shopping and especially catching Taxi's. 'morning price' ha ha – wasn't it the most relaxing place ever. Even Hawaii isn't as deep, relaxing or enlightening. Loved your experience bud! Makes me want to get back again . I did dine at the Four Seasons too. Looked stunning as well
