If you’re feeling anxious or fearful during the coronavirus pandemic, you’re not alone. Offering hope and understanding, author Elizabeth Gilbert reflects on how to stay present, accept grief when it comes and trust in the strength of the human spirit. “Resilience is our shared genetic inheritance,” she says. (This virtual conversation is part of the TED Connects series, hosted by head of TED Chris Anderson and head of curation Helen Walters. Recorded April 2, 2020)

I got a little gang of teachers or "gurus". She is one of them. Smart, intuitive woman. Thank you, Liz. Love from Norway.
Thank you so much for reading the letter to yourself! Wow. It was so powerful. This whole thing was great. Love never gives unsolicited advice. I need to hear this. I try to fix everything and everyone and I just need to be there for them. Wow
I listened to this at the beginning of the pandemic – listening to it again. I absolutely adore Liz ❤️
OMG, this talk is so vapid and trite. Elizabeth Gilbert has OBVIOUSLY SUFFERED SO MUCH in her lifetime and has so much to offer in a crisis. UGH. Good thing I didn't have to pay for this; I'd want my money back.
Chris, I love your room! Purple walls, turquoise in the next room? Where did this come from ? Let's decorate together!!!!
Does anyone by any chance have the link to the conversation that was mentioned by Chris about grief? X
I am like you..this is the opportunity to do confrontation with our selves and know what you really want not by miming the other…group effect and make accountable our passivity like living our elderly in these awful houses..I am sorry but the world became too much into selfishness… It's time to wake up and manage your time to distinguish between your wants and your needs…and give more time to needy and people who live alone starting by our parents and grand parents… By
Watching this in October, sadly, still appropriate 7 months on ?Thank you Liz xx
This might be my favourite ever TED talk. Control is a myth! I needed to hear that. ??
Good Lord, she is just magnificent- what a gift to humanity ?
great ending

Finding this now, coming from the UK where we are unfortunately now in a 3rd lockdown, I wish I had found this sooner. I will definitely be sharing this with others. Thank you xx
"Nothing will bring you more pain than the future."
Me: Except the past. ?
Overall great video, but it's hard to tell people to think of something as a "retreat" when bills keep piling up.
Great talk with an articulate thinker. Would be great to see an interview one year into the pandemic and what she's noticed since last April
Thank you, thank you
That was so special. Just something we all needed to hear right now
Ms. ELIZABETH GILBERT YOU ARE AMAZING. EACH WORD YOU SPOKE APPEARED TO BE COMING OUT OF MY HEART. A. N. MAJUMDAR
I fared well during the pandemic so far, however now my elderly mom is on home hospice. Even though I am a nurse it’s still hard.
I love her. She is so calming.
The military plot whitely boast because effect hemodynamically level amid a splendid slave. muddled, fancy range
????️?️?️???
54:15 I love the way she writes her letters. Elizabeth is so insightful.
I’m first watching this on November 19, 2021 and everything Elizabeth is saying is so relevant today. This video is resonating with me so much. It means even more to me now than had I had watched this when it first took place. ???✨?
"I think sometimes the experiences that can transform us the most intimately are the ones that we want to run away from"

I first saw this brilliant interview almost two years ago. Everything Liz said then is still current. Covid may not be as scary it was but we're still in the marathon she predicted. Please let's have mercy on ourselves and others no matter if we're pro or anti vax and Democrats or Republicans. I pray for a more United States of America once the worst is over.
We definitely owe ourselves mercy and compassion in times like this. Thanks for this beautiful connection and real conversation.
I haven't had human contact in 2 years
She talks nonsense
Whooaaaaaaa random playlist finally did me a service….
Glorious ???❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨????????????
