  1. When one sits with these two opposite forces of altruism and egoism, one realises that everything we do is to fulfill ourselves…..I guess the intention is to do things for another without ANY self benefit, which I certainly can't do on my own strength. I would think that the support of an environment, which can encourage one to aim towards that of the benefit of the other, would go a long way to working with these two opposing forces in nature in a balanced way.

  2. Thank you Eckhart. This is what I'm going through right now. I'm caring for my mom who has stage 4 cancer.
I'm doing it for her. Sometimes I forget about my own needs. I feel bad and guilty.
Sometimes I think that she doesn't appreciate me and what I'm doing isn't enough.

  3. this message from Eckhart totally relates to what I'm going through at work: have a boss who diminishes my accomplishments and looks for all the things he can find and make up, to criticize me. It's pure jealousy derived from a weakened sense of self. I'm changing jobs soon because life is too short to work for bad bosses. Organizations are setup in a way that these behaviours are perpetuated unfortunately.

  4. There's no such thing as altruism. All humans do one thing and one thing only when making a choice – choose the path that they think will make them happiest at that moment. Sometimes that path is diving on a grenade.

  5. Beautifull, norishing, allowing hope, enlightning, forgiveness towards me/my self and all✨?✨?☀️ The essenses of these words is the respons within me when i take in your teachings
I Thank you for these gifts ??

  6. The thing he calls "from a deeper place that is not ego" is still ego! It is translated through the construct of our personality(earth ego) in this being that we are. It is what I call positive ego. Which are healthy needs wants desires and inclinations etc.
The thing he calls "ego" I call negative ego. Which is the thing that segregates is a lie, manipulate, toxic, etc. False identity.
Think of ego as the vehicle to navigate realities within our being. To say you have no ego. IS ego.
Without some form of ego there is no experiencer!
