Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.

Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness – a global spiritual awakening.

Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.

In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

  1. This is one of the most amazing realizations which is the utter simplicity of thoughtless awareness or contemplation. Once this begins to enter a being it is seen as astonishing that the vast majority of people have no relationship to presence or thoughtless awareness at all. It is so programmed into the human consciousness that knowledge or the process of creating content in the mind is supreme that vey few people ever question it!! However it is the chief cause of all suffering on the planet!! It is seen that perception may be impossible unless the mind empties its contents.  It is like humans carry around a continuous veil which obscures or even totally blocks what is occurring in the space of now. Perception is a far greater movement unmask then thinking because it is able to look from the whole into the parts without the mask of thoughts implying a particular direction.  When perception is free to look, it can no longer be blocked by thought forms which are really just memories or future projections.  The silence is able to clarify and unmask all the prejudice, abstraction and false assumptions that thought attempts to describe but is only abel to do from the background of its own conditioned mind.  Thoughtless awareness unveils though to be what it really is, a pale reflection of minds conditioned by knowledge.  Once one is free from the known, then a great clarity and love comes into being.

  2. Alas, thinking is overused even to the point of developing into mental illness, crime, suicide, and violence in general.
    Thinking is overrated.
What a wonderful break it is to quite literally – get out of your mind from time to time.
So much a nicer place to be while you are 'there'…

  3. If the answer is there's nothing to understand, nothing to think about, its so simple, then why is there his books and so many videos to continually think about and understand?

I must be pretty stupid because even though he says theres nothing to think about, I have to think about that statement and understand it before I will accept it and practise it.

Or does Eckhart "think" (Does he think, while telling everyone else not to?) that everyone should just accept everything they are told without thinking about it first?

Isn't this what religious tyrants and fanatics have being relying on for years and the present day some want their followers to believe without question, resulting in fanatical terrorists?

I think Eckhart Tolle is very entertaining and has some very incite full views, but I reserve the right to be able to "think" and question before I make these conclusions.
