Descriptions:

If you want to have ongoing joy and fulfillment in your life, the secret is just one word – progress. Progress equals happiness. While achievements and material things may excite you for the moment, the only thing that’s going to make you happy long-term is knowing that you’re making progress.

To do this, you have to remember: While change is automatic – progress is not. Progress results from actively and consciously choosing to create a life you love; a life where you can’t wait to jump out of bed in the morning because you are growing, contributing, impacting and serving.

How do you start creating a life like that? By first learning that you don’t need an excuse to feel good – you can feel good for no reason.

Watch what Tony has to say and then tell us what you do to make yourself feel good.

  1. If I had a tooth ache and put a smile on my face, would the pain go away, and if it did would the problem still remain.
Mental problems are similar unless you tackle the root cause, the problem will just be camouflaged. Taking Prozac or putting a fake smile on your face will not fix the problem long term. On a national level we live in a world that has various saddening problems from obesity epidemics, starving, war, pollution, plastics, basically we are killing the planet and eventually ourselves, as we busily look at options to leave the planet to start somewhere else instead of fixing the one we have. Evolving/progress is not a good thing when it leads to destruction or ignoring the real problems that exist. Sometimes things are just depressing but it does no good to dwell in sorrow but to focus on hope and resolve to get the problems fixed whether you do that with a smile on your face or not is not important but staying positively optimistic is.

  2. "Having a smiling countenance brings joy towards yourself" is a milenar budhist advice. Certainly many people need Prozac nowadays to recover from the madness installed. A fulltime frown will certainly not help. It's scientifically proved that laughter and positive atitude make one get better sooner. and of course I agree that not everybody wants to be successful and fully joyful in life. I'm sure Tony knows that too. And he speaks for his audience. Thank you Tony!

  3. This is so true because my sister had told me to stop laughing all the time because it makes me look stupid while she is always angry about something. A couple days later I saw Tony Robbins live and he had his audience laugh for know reason.
