People are turning to Socialism because Capitalism is broken. Capitalism had a baby called Technology which had a baby called AI. AI will take all the jobs away. We will need a greater social net like Netherlands to survive. Covid-19, world poverty, climate change accelerated the death of Capitalism. My Grandfather in the Great Depression, had a stay at home wife with 12 children. He also worked 40 hours a week with a 25 year mortgage. Now a man can't provide for his family, both couple has to work 60 hours EACH with a 30 or 40 year mortgage, plus a woman, today, has only 2 children on average. It is WORST now then it was back then. Back then, families were sacred, diseases were rare compare to today, 1902 cancer, diabetes, autism, obesity etc… were rare but now diseases are exploding. I feel I was born in a wrong era. Now we have a currency and the Government has a printing press, in the Great Depression, they had real money with the Gold Standard.

I'm just getting started with your blog and book! And I can already see that this is incredibly stunning! Wow! I am delighted!
I strongly disagree with quality of life today. It is getting worst in a very fast speed. Quality of food, quality of living, medication creates more side effects and we need medication more than ever (have you wondered why ?) not to mention cost of living in "rich" countries. Tony and Peter it feels that you guys trying hard to convince us to invest, which is probably a good thing for us and the economy, but reasons you are giving are not valid. And that can be backed up by research that is done on quality of life today in US compare to 18 hundreds (1800).
Some Amazing amounts of common sense here!
