Thank you for sharing your experience. This happened to my mother and could never understand why she didnt bond with my brother. She was never diagnosed but this is what our family went thru. Thank you, Im so happy you didnt give up.

Tom Cruise is a great actor but any man foolish enough to speak out against a woman recognizing and seeking medical treatment for their mind and body……is a fool. He can act but he is too "full of himself and believes he has all the answers". He absolutely is a fool and proved himself as someone who will bully you if you don't accept his beliefs. He needs to "stay in his lane…on his spaceship". Brooke Shields is a beautiful and very smart woman and Tom Cruise, hopefully, has apologized to her directly. When she told the public about these issues, but too late to help me, I did feel that she was brave to share that nightmarish time for her so openly, it took courage, which she has it in spades, plus she wasn't preaching just going on record! I know as a woman in this world, it often felt like just being and existing as a woman was making a mistake, we must shut up & listen however cruel, unjust and unfair these 'opinions' were and still are. I’m sorry but depression is a part of life and like Tom said putting people on drugs and pills it’s just masking the problem you’re hiding the problem it’s like taking Tylenol for a tooth that’s broken in your mouth you know the tooth broken you know you don’t feel the pain anymore but as soon as that Tylenol wears off you’re gonna feel that shit… that’s the problem nowadays people want to just take a pill and make it all go away we don’t wanna face and deal with our own issues and our own problems that’s what society has done to us and I feel like that’s all Tom was saying… and for the record I’m glad that she made it through it and she was able to find a way past that craziness us women all get in our brains ?

Postpartum is real i have went thru and its hard, sad it makes you feel like someone you are not you want to be anywhere but home with your baby or anyone and you don't dare speak about or your crazy or a bad mom. I'm not ashamed to say I spoke up 29 years ago and I had an amazing doctor that knew exactly what was going on with me when she entered my room I got help and it absolutely saved me so whoever maybe be struggling or going thru Postpartum you are not alone.
And the value of a Tom Cruise opinion is worth what? And Brooke Shields personal experience is who's business? What a Kardashian World we live in.

Just exercise and take a vitamin.. problem solved! LoL I’d love to know where he received his doctorate degree and when he gave birth to his last child??? Furthermore, I wonder if he ever looks back upon that interview and feels like a fool.. bc I felt nothing but major secondhand embarrassment for him, what an absolutely foolish thing for a man to say. LoL At least he had the wherewithal to apologize, I’ll give him credit for that. I hope it was sincere rather that to get back into the good graces of his fans.. or the public in general since he’s a public figure. I’ve always enjoyed his movies but I’m not a fan of anyone pushing their religion onto other’s. I can personally say Brooke's book, "Down Came The Rain" changed my family's life. My husband & I were thrilled with the birth of our son, A child we had been told for years we would probably never be able to have. Everything was great for the first week, normal new parents exhaustion, then suddenly a change like day to night. I was horrified of leaving the baby, but being with him equally horrified…terrified something was going to happen to him & seeing all the possible "what if's" in my mind. I couldn't stop crying & had convinced myself I either needed to leave he & my husband or give the baby to another family. They were the only options to keep him safe…I never thought of harming him, myself, anyone. I didn't know what was wrong with me, but knew something was WAY, WAY off & told my husband, who was as confused as I was but who had also noticed something amiss. I remembered hearing a co-worker mention having gone through Post Partum Depression a few years earlier with the birth of her first child. I was able to talk to her over the phone (still on maternity leave) & describe what was happening. She said it sounded likely to be PPD & gave me the contact info for the Dr. that had treated her for it. I was seen quickly, confirmed to have PPD, prescribed a short term anti-depressant & attend treatment sessions. All of which were undeniably the reason I was able to recover & thankfully didn't spiral down any further…a very real fear we had. But I place a significant importance on the Dr's recommendation of Brooke's "Down Came The Rain." I had adored her since I was a child, but had no idea the book existed. It had been published just a year or two prior to this time. As I read each page I cried uncontrollably again…this time because I was in awe of how closely what I read felt as if it were my own thoughts. I had never heard a medical professional mention PPD before. Thank God I had a co-worker that wasn't ashamed to disclose it. And I'm extremely thankful for Brooke's book. It wasn't talked about then, but I think Brooke is the reason it's much more well-known today & I think that's truly wonderful.
Maybe putting brook in front of movie cameras as a little child is her issue along with chemicals shes prescribed. Tom was actually correct.

I got in a deep depression got on medication over a year wow what a different it made. That was year's ago. When I decided I wanted to stop the medication I stopped and haven't had to take any since just at that time I needed a little help. Good for Brooke.
