As a Hindu whatever he said was done lots of years ago, I stared at dot over the "?️" for a long time without blinking for as long as possible and maybe close your eyes and ears and pronounce the word "OM" after taking a deep breath.     If you e.g. smoke because you are stressed, it is not sustainable to just force yourself to stop. You need to build a habit to deal with stress.
