I think when you change that to enthusiast it allows you to make content and gets you on your way, your fear ? goes away and your creativity goes up! Have a feeling someone’s life just adjusted in a positive way ♥️?

  1. The whole contest community has gone so lazy trying to get a quick buck! I mean we are now copying YouTube videos , up loading them again with an absolute shite voiceover and expecting millions.
Some do make millions but its flooding the servers with pure garbage and a false weak message. I always preferred the grind, the pain and the result from it. I may fail, I may succeed but at least I know I'm being true to myself.
Maybe I'm just an old bald loser but it's just what I see from the outside looking in.
Please bear in mind! I know some are not lazy and do very well but there is a massive majority that just do not want to work.
Good message here from this video.

  2. One of the best practical insights here!!! Just say “I want to be an (industry) enthusiast instead of expert.” That changes so much. Most importantly our approach to it all… Awesome Gary!!! ??

  3. "Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that's where you will find success."

  4. good point about expert to enthusiast and really figuring out what you want to do and pursuing what you do with that open framework because that's where people will sense the authenticity and follow you for the long haul

  5. I have never wanted something bad that I did not trust in? i may have randomly wasted $ but that will never fuel a brand… I want people to genuinely trust whatever it is I'm doing

  6. Wow I really needed to hear this because I have suffered greatly from anxiety that stopped me from actually helping people with marketing even though I am a marketing person. I am now an enthusiast until they decide that I am an expert.

  7. Thanks Gary. I am by no means an expert in the classic car field. I know what I know but when I listen to the likes of Jason Cammisa and Matt Farah, I know I can firmly call myself simply an enthusiast. And that’s what I’ve got to make my viewers understand in order that I can bring them along on my journey. I don’t need to know the brake horsepower or braking distance of all the cars I come across, I just need to inject more of my enthusiasm for all the different cars I come across an appreciation of the experts in the field that I’m talking to. You’ve been a great source of encouragement since I found you so thank you know one day I’ll be forwarding you an email thanking you even more for your wisdom and words.

  8. Thank you for shouting out to moms that have businesses … the guilt is real. I’m fortunate enough to work from home successfully but when my daughter says “why do you work so much mom” it still kills me with guilt. I don’t know what the solution is to moms not feeling mom guilt but I also hope one day it’s gone lol
