1. Set your goals high
His media empire began with his father’s billboard business, Turner Outdoor Advertising.

2. Hustle all day long
He took over the business in 1963 after his father’s suicide.

3. Keep going
His purchase of an Atlanta UHF station in 1970 began the Turner Broadcasting System.

4. Have a lot of courage
CNN revolutionized news media, covering the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster in 1986 and the Persian Gulf War in 1991.

5. Help others
He turned the Atlanta Braves baseball team into a nationally popular franchise and launched the charitable Goodwill Games.

6. Roll with the punches
He helped revive interest in professional wrestling by buying World Championship Wrestling.

7. Ignore the naysayers
His penchant for controversial statements earned him the nicknames “The Mouth of the South” and “Captain Outrageous”.

8. Try your best
He has also devoted his assets to environmental causes.

9. Live with honor
He also created the environmental-themed animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers.

10. Persevere
As a philanthropist, he is known for his US$1 billion gift to support the United Nations.

Vince McMahon may have won wrestling (Only to shit on it a mere couple years later) But, Ted Turner absolutely owns any/all credibility not just as a businessman, entrepreneur, and FATHER (ahem, sorry didn't mean to expose Vince's incestuous integrity there) but overall, human being. Whether it's Turner yesterday or 30 years before.. Same man, same voice, same dream. Vince McMahon would have to book a match over all 3 different of his schizo personalities.. Only to fall in ruin.. Over Turner simply.. Talking.

Was great meeting you the other month Ted, but after the look in Thursday Rudd’s eye and Teresa Rudd’s stick that was interesting there’s no interesting whatsoever in working with them at all, don’t think much of the shit could see in there inner ear and have never and never going to take anyone in that’s been there at all period
