  1. I needed to watch this. Having turned to a plant based diet almost 10 years ago and struggling with the pushback from society ever since. Any social gathering involving food is always a moment when I get easily put on the spot and all usual questions come up. I just would like to be left alone with my choices and not having to justify all the time. So true that we easily accept all kind of unhealthy choices but the majority keep questioning a plant based diet. Exhausting.

  2. I've been listening to a lot of Rick Roll podcasts and generally really love them but definitely don't love the subtle fat phobic/homophobic comments along the way in the first 20 minutes. (15:45 + 3:48) – the same powerful story can be told without these.

  3. I have been in love with your podcast for over a year and this is the first time I heard this story. I am in happy tears. Thank you for persevering and letting the beautiful light that is your soul make this world a better and brighter place. You have done that for me and I thank you.

  4. waw after all this you are still an addict – ok to different things but still an adict to food, sports, …
you still dont know wat an addict is – chasing the dragon 😉

  5. Who watches this video and gives it a thumbs down? I read his book and have heard Rich's story before. Just as captivating to stumble upon it again today. Plant-based diet changed my life and many people around me.

  6. This was amazing Thank you I was listening while walking and decided to start running and ran over a mile before I knew it !! I was a long distance runner, I deployed and hurt my foot and hip so that’s not a possibility for me any more ? I wanted to give up but I started binge listening and watching you all from chef AJ To Dr mcdougal and physicians committee and decided to start WFPB Way of life July 6. I went all the way and haven’t stopped. I do like wine so that’s next to stop. I have a Long history of eating issues, too much to type, I just wanted to say God bless you all. Thanks so much for all your inspiration ❤️??

  7. I love his podcasts because he is 100% present with his guests, both supporting and enhancing their story and message without upstaging them, interrupting to demonstrate his brilliance, or launching into a side story to take some of the limelight away from them. I didn't know his backstory and now I am not just wildly impressed, I am inspired.

  8. Everyone always says be vegan but never says how. How? I tried to just become vegan one day and I couldn’t. If they really wanna help they should tell us how

  9. 12 years ago when I was 20 years old I was exercising like a professional athlete despite I wasn't one. My physical performance was top everywhere I went. I think it was actually professional level. I felt amazing. Today 12 years after, at 32 years, I think I have the same energy levels (despite less strength because I stopped training about 10 years ago and I barely train now, one day a week average so my performance is definitely lower). I have been vegan since 4 years ago, I aim to eat as healthy as I can, mostly whole foods plant based diet and I have impressive energy levels despite how little I train and how little I sleep 6h average (I aim to improve this to 7.5-8h a day for improving my health) and since I have been eating this vegan way, a healthy vegan way (plus I am vegan thus I don't use/abuse animals at all), I have felt better than ever. I recommend everyone to adopt a whole foods plant based diet, and while you are at it, go vegan and stop using/abusing animals completely and your life will never be the same, it will be many times better.

Educate yourself about nutrition and health and do a 100% plant based diet the proper way

  10. I love Rich Roll and what he is doing but just remember, being vegan/vegetarian will not prevent cancer etc. I know a vegan that ended up with cancer and died and a life long vegetarian that had a stroke and ended up partially paralyzed. Eating healthy and exercising is good but don't deprive yourself of certain things…..life is too short. Genetics has the most to do with longevity. My Yia Yia lived to be 94 and she never exercised, drank Ouzo every night and ate whatever she wanted all in moderation. I remember asking her what her secret was in a joking way and she looked at me and said "Don't take life too serious" stress is a killer!

  11. I discovered Rich Roll today and it’s truly amazing, he’s really encouraging me to go vegan I’m genuinely fascinated by his story, transformation, and courage. Thanks for the privilege of your story I hope more people realize that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself, again, THANK YOU I needed this today✨??
