Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, remembers a company he started that fell apart because no one liked each other. He decided that when he started Zappos one criteria he’d use to hire is, “Would I hang out with this person if we weren’t forced to work together?” Now he’s famous for creating one of the most customer-happy companies in the world. I guess this culture stuff works.
