Sometimes you have to take a chance.

If it hasn’t happened to you already, there will come a day when your red-hot desire to do something is met with a moment of opportunity. It may be the perfect time to tell someone you love them. It may be the right situation to negotiate a raise or a better deal.  It might be a moment to ask your favorite musician if you could accompany him in a song.

Michael Pollack, student and aspiring musician, had that moment.  (watch the video)

There are ten thousands musicians who would have loved to play piano for the piano man. There were probably 100 of them in the room that day.

But Michael took the chance.

It was magic. It was courageous. It was his moment.

confort-zone

The gap between your comfort zone and “where the magic happens” is not a big as you may think.

In fact, it’s usually a moment.

A decision.

A simple decision.

A mind-blowing, heart-pumping, courageous decision. But a simple decision.

“Do I take a chance?”

Do you?

It’s a simple question.

How you answer that question could be the most important decision you’ll ever make.

It’s up to you.

Are you ready for your opportunity, are you ready to take a chance? What if the gap between your comfort zone and where the "magic happens" is not that big?

Wow... "Do I take a chance?”. Do you? It’s a simple question. How you answer that question could be the most important decision you’ll ever make. It’s up to you. What will YOU do to step out of your comfort zone... and yes, Sarah Green absolutely made me think of Bobby Green - even got out my trip journal and shared it with my son - it included pictures of him rehearsing us in a song he'd written to surprise our musical director - great memories of a very special guy. Also made me think of you, Paul Hankinson - I have been so lucky to have had two incredibly talented and special men in my life - In my mind's eye - it was both of you up there with Billy Joel. :-)
