Ok, Jeffrey Gitomer (the Git) is not a Martian, but he's a little different than every other human I know.

First, he's a sales trainer that breaks every other sales trainer's "no facial hair" mantra and he gets away with it. In fact, I didn't even realize he had stubble until a jealous sales trainer was criticizing him to me one day (you know you're good when you have critics). Perhaps the chin hair balances the lack of dome hair (Git and I are friends... err, at least we were before that comment).

Second, he trains in an uncoventional way. He spits, yelps, and screams obsenities to get his point across. And it somehow works. Although I'm sometimes shocked at what he gets away with, he seems to use his shocking antics at just the right time -- when he needs our attention most. This is something that works for the sales trainer, but I wouldn't recommend for the sales person.

Third, his stories are crazy. True, they bring home important points, but I'm still trying to understand what the Pope has to do with selling.

You don't have to go to Mars to get access to the Git. The Sales Rants series by Mr. Gitomer reflect his best selling books, omnipresent editorial column and outrageous personality right here on MasteryTV. He's always in the top rated videos and if you want to find all of them, just visit the MasteryTV Video Community and search for "Gitomer".
